General Information

The very first prize was called the Canadian Grand Prix and was the last race under this sign, played not for Formula 1 class vehicles.

In 1966-67, 1969-74, 1977-80, one race in Motorsport was included in the Can-Am season calendar, and two in 1981-86.

In the era of two races three times, both arrivals obeyed one pilot: in 1981, the Italian Theo Fabi celebrated success, in 1982 - American Al Anzer Jr. , and in 1984 - Irishman Michael Rowe .

Often the pilot won the race, having won the champion of the series that season. The only pilot who twice managed to combine the victory in Motorsport and the champion of the series is the Frenchman Patrick Tambet .
