Hamza Fansuri ( Pansuri [1] ) ( Malay. Hamzah Fansuri ) - Malay Sufi poet of the second half of the XVI - the first decades of the XVII century. Dervish of the Sufi brotherhood of Kadiriya . He visited Baghdad , Mecca , Medina [2] , and possibly Kudus in Central Java .

The life of Khamza Fansuri is known mainly from his detailed poetry signatures. Poetic creativity is represented by shairs usually from 13-15 stanzas . Prose works have also been preserved: “Wine of lovers”, “Secrets of the befell”, “Adept” - which set forth the views of the author. It is considered the first to set forth the doctrines of Sufism in the Malay language, as well as to streamline the folklore form of the Shair and to make it part of Malay literature [3] .

The work of Khamza Fansuri criticized the Islamic theologian , who declared Fansuri’s views to be heretical [4] . Under his influence, the sultan of Aceh Taj ul-Alam tried to burn all the works of Farsouri and destroy his memory [2] .
