Features

HD 7449 is a main sequence star with a mass and radius almost equal to that of the sun . [1] The surface temperature of the star is about 6024 Kelvin . Scientists estimate the age of HD 7449 at approximately 2.1 billion years.

Planet System

In 2011, a group of researchers announced the discovery [1] of two planets in the system. These are gas giants similar to Jupiter . Planet HD 7449 b orbits at a distance of 2.3 AU from the parent star, making a complete revolution in 1275 days. Planet HD 7449 c is located a little further - at a distance of 4.96 AU from a star, making a complete revolution in almost 11 years. The discovery of both planets was accomplished using the method of calculating proper motion using a HARPS spectrograph .
