Variegated lepture [2] ( Stictoleptura variicornis ) is a species of beetle insects from the barbel family. Distributed in Asia ( China , Japan , Russia , Mongolia , the Korean Peninsula ) and Europe (Russia, Latvia , Ukraine , Belarus , Poland ) [1] . Found in meadows on flowers of plants [3] . The body length of adults is 15–20 mm. Larvae feed on decaying coniferous wood ( pine , spruce , larch ); develop inside rotting wood [4] . The life cycle of one individual lasts 3 years [4] .
