Biography

In the Major League of Latvia Oleg Malashenok made his debut in 2004, speaking for Jurmala . In the 2008 season, he became the most successful player in Jurmala, as well as the second most productive player in the championship, only one goal behind Vit Rimkus .

At the end of the 2008 season, Oleg Malashenok’s contract with Jurmala expired, and Skonto head coach Paul Ashworth became interested in him [2] . Although Jurmala agreed to renegotiate a contract with a soccer player [3] , he decided to go abroad during the winter transfer period.

In early 2009, Oleg Malashenok visited the Bulgarian club “ Black Sea ” [4] and the Scottish “ Dundee ” [5] . He failed to gain a foothold in any of these clubs and, returning to his homeland, on February 11, 2009 signed a contract with Ventspils for a period of one year [6] .

Just before the start of the 2009 season, Ventspils leased Oleg Malashenok to another Ventspils club, the Major League debutant - Transit [7] . But after playing in the ranks of Transit until September, Oleg Malashenok went to see the Hibernians club in Malta [8] and on September 25, 2009 signed a contract with the club until the end of the year [9] .

After the expiration of the contract with Hibernians, Oleg Malashenok did not renew it and returned to his homeland, and in March 2010 he joined Jelgava , the new debutant of the Major League [10] . In June, according to the results of voting, he was recognized as the best player of the month of May in the Premier League [11] [12] , and with 11 goals scored for the whole season he became the club's most productive player.

On June 10, 2010 Oleg Malashenok was first called up to the national team [13] , and on June 18 he made his debut as a member of the Latvian national team in a match with the Lithuanian national team [14] .

In the 2011 season, Oleg Malashenok was again elected the best player of the month, this time in July [15] [16] . And at the end of August I went to see the Volgar-Gazprom club in Astrakhan [17] [18] , and although due to an injury he did not participate in training, on August 31 he nevertheless signed a contract with the club’s leadership for a period of two years [ 19] [20] .
