Biography

Lucca Lee was born in 1986 in the city of Ystad ( Skane province, Sweden). Her mother, Chersti Stiege, was a member of the girl punk band Tant Strul, before becoming a photographer. Father Johan played the guitar in the Swedish ensemble Dag Vag. Parents with the baby moved to Stockholm, and when she was six years old, they left for the mountains in Portugal, where they lived for five years. The family also spent time in Lisbon and Morocco, and in winter in Nepal and India [8] [9] . At the age of 19, Lee moved to the Brooklyn Quarter of Bushwick in New York for three months [10] [11] [12] . She returned there to record an album when she was 21 years old [13] .

Her mini album Little Bit , released in 2007, gained some success. About the singer, they wrote on the music blog Stereogum , describing her style as a mixture of soul , electro and “pop music from powdered sugar” [14] .

Lucke Lee's Youth Novels debut studio album was released in Scandinavia via LL Recordings on January 30, 2008. A wider release in Europe took place in June of that year, and two months later in the United States. The record was produced by Björn Ittling from the group Peter Bjorn and John and Lasse Morten.

The singer’s second album, Wounded Rhymes, was released in 2011.

The third album, I Never Learn, was released on May 2, 2014.

June 8, 2018 released her fourth album [15] .
