Due to the presence of gums, mucus, tannins - the drug protects enterocytes from the effects of enterotoxins, reduces toxicosis. Due to the astringent effect, a thickening of the intestinal basement membrane occurs, which helps to reduce toxicosis and reduce hypersecretion of water into the intestinal lumen. As a result, a decrease in fluid and electrolyte losses, a decrease in the rate of dehydration, and an improvement in microcirculation. The positive effects of Entoban contribute to a more favorable course of OCI.

The use of the drug

Indications for the appointment and administration of Entoban are such nosologies as diarrhea , dysentery (including acute amoebic and bacterial), intestinal amebiasis , acute gastroenteritis and foodborne toxicosis . Clinical

Determining Efficiency and Safety

Clinical studies to determine the effectiveness and safety of Entoban were conducted in 2003 in the intestinal ward of Tashkent Children's Infectious Diseases Hospital No. 4. The study involved 20 children, aged 1 month to 4 years, who were diagnosed with the following: acute diarrhea, dysentery, salmonellosis , escherichiosis. The duration of therapy was indicated in the range from 2 to 5 days. According to the dosing regimen established during testing, Entoban in syrup was taken 1 teaspoon every 4 hours, while the initial dose of Entoban in capsules was 2 capsules, and then (with repeated use) - 1 capsule every 4 hours.

“A study of the effectiveness of Entoban in the treatment of sick children and adolescents with secretory diarrhea”

The results of a study conducted at the Department of Infectious Diseases and Epidemiology of the Lugansk Medical University and the Lugansk Regional Children's Infectious Diseases Hospital. The study involved 80 children and adolescents aged 4 to 18 years. The diagnoses are Escherichiosis, salmonellosis, rotavirus enteritis, foodborne toxicoinfections caused by opportunistic microorganisms.

In the main group, there was a more rapid disappearance of symptoms of ACI. In particular: reduction in the duration of diarrhea, toxicosis. Shortening postinfectious asthenia. The amount of residual phenomena after acute intestinal infections in the main group was 1.6 times less than in the control group.

The results of a co-cytogram during a repeated study showed a positive effect in the restoration of digestion function. A decrease in the amount of fatty acids, the disappearance of muscle fibers, a decrease in the number of starch grains, and a decrease in the amount of digestible fiber were noted. findings

  • The use of Entoban in the treatment of sick children and adolescents with acute intestinal infections with secretory diarrhea has a positive effect on the clinical course of the disease.
  • A decrease in the duration of diarrheal syndrome and infectious toxicosis by an average of 1.8 days
  • Shortening the period of post-infectious asthenia by 2.8 days in comparison with the control group.
  • The frequency of bowel movements decreases and the nature of the stool improves.
  • Fluid loss is reduced from the second day of treatment in half of patients, preventing dehydration.
  • Helps to improve digestion function, restore within 3-5 days indicators of the coprogram
  • Reduces the incidence of residual events in patients with acute acute respiratory infections
  • Helps to update the morphological and functional parameters of microcirculation, which positively affects the restoration of microhemodynamics in acute
