About the album
Mr. Freedom retained the group’s previous tendency to write songs in lounge and acid jazz styles, but the compositions on the album have changed a lot: they have become more danceable. Unlike the debut album, Mr. Freedom all songs were created for vocal performance, but the exception is the chill out track "Midnight Caffe". According to the browser of the portal About.com , the album's songs sound like they were written 40 years ago [1] .
Vocalists such as Dee Dee Bridgewater , China Moyzes , Lisa Laure, Edwin Collins and Joe Jenkins took part in the recording. All songs on the disc are recorded exclusively in English . The songs “ Into My Soul ” and “Mr. Freedom” were released as singles, as well as “Bang to the Rock'n'Roll” [5] , which was used in the movie “The Fantastic Four ” and in 2008 in the movie “ Sex Drive " [6] .
