Summa Group is a Russian independent group combining assets in port logistics, engineering, construction, the telecommunications and oil and gas sectors. The headquarters of the company is located in Moscow . The companies of the group, which are present in almost 40 regions of Russia and abroad, employ more than 10 thousand people.

Control over the group belongs to the entrepreneur Ziyavudin Magomedov [2] (he is also the chairman of the board of directors of the company).

Activities
Among the assets controlled by Summa: NCSP Group (25%, the group includes the Novorossiysk Commercial Sea Port ), FESCO Transport Group (32.5%), United Grain Company (50% minus one share), Yakutsk Fuel and Energy energy company (more than 90%), SUIproject, telecommunications company National Telecom , terminal operator in the port of Rotterdam Shtandart TT BV (100%) [4] , engineering and construction companies Stroynovatsiya and Transengineering. Criminal case
On March 31, 2018, the head of the company Ziyavudin Magomedov was detained for two months by the decision of the Tver court of the city of Moscow, until May 30, on suspicion of embezzlement of 2.5 billion rubles at the head of a criminal organization. The court ruling noted that the sentence for a particularly serious crime incriminated to Magomedov was more than 10 years in prison, and the case file contains testimony of witnesses who reported pressure on them [9] . According to The Bell, the criminal case contains seven episodes of contracts for 2010-2013 [10] . The former senator from Smolensk region Magomed Magomedov and the head of Intex Arthur Maksidov were also taken into custody, investigative actions were carried out in the group’s offices throughout the country [8] . On April 2, stocks of a company associated with a group of companies on the MICEX fell in the range from 2.8 (NCSP) to 20% (Far Eastern Shipping Company), while the stock exchange index grew by 0.77% based on trading results [11]
The criminal case was the first in the history of the Russian Federation, when the investigation considered the business a criminal community, some media compared it in scale with the Yukos case . According to RBC, the case was the result of the unwillingness or weak participation of the Magomedovs in an anti-corruption company in Dagestan or a joint conflict with Transneft in NCSP. The brothers themselves were associated with Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev ( during his presidency , Ziyavudin Magomedov’s fortune grew from tens of millions to a billion dollars, including through government contracts) and Deputy Prime Minister Arkady Dvorkovich (he oversaw the fuel and energy sector in the government , regional infrastructure, and telecommunications , the transport sector and other directions, in which the “Sum” is presented. He has been familiar and friendly with Magomedov since studying at the Faculty of Economics of Moscow State University , when he lived with him in the same dormitory [8] ), The Bell publication described the case as a blow to the above officials and part of the hardware games in the context of the formation of the new government [10] .
On January 30, 2019, the Tver Court of Moscow extended the arrest of co-owner of Summa Group Ziyavudin Magomedov and his brother Magomed, as well as Arthur Maksidov, former director of the Intex holding company, until March 30. Thus, the petition of the investigation, which accuses the Magomedov brothers of organizing a criminal community, embezzlement and embezzlement of 2.8 billion rubles, and Arthur Maksidov, of embezzling almost 669 million rubles, was granted. (Article 210, part 4 of article 159 and part 4 of article 160 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation). Magomed Magomedov was additionally charged under the article “illegal arms trafficking” (Article 222 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation) [12] .
