Sabao ( Japanese 玉 サ サ "tamasaba" - "ball mackerel") is one of the artificially cultivated decorative breeds of the aquarium " goldfish " ( lat. Carassius gibelio forma auratus ( Bloch, 1782 )), bred in Japan.

Origin History
The fish was bred in Yamagata Prefecture in northern Japan and is also known as the Yamagata Kingyo or the Yamagata Goldfish.
Description
Sabao or “Tamasaba” is a rare Japanese breed of goldfish with a body similar in shape to Ryukin’s body, but with one very long tail that resembles a mackerel tail, from which this fish is also called “mackerel tail”. The color of fish from saturated red and even burgundy to white.
Aquarium and pond content
This attractive and hardy goldfish is a popular pet not only for amateur aquariums, but also suitable for pond keeping and breeding. It tolerates low temperatures of water and air without the need for heating.
