Pearl ( Jap. 鱗 ин tinsyurin , scales made of rare pearls) is one of the artificially cultivated decorative breeds of the aquarium “ goldfish ” ( lat. Carassius auratus auratus ), characterized by an unusual shape of scales resembling pearls .
Origin History
A special breed of goldfish "pearl" was bred at the end of the reign of the Chinese Qing Dynasty ( 1848 - 1925 ) with the systematic crossing of various lines and careful selection.
Description
A short, swollen, 15-centimeter egg-shaped body is dense, like a veiltail . All fins are short. On the body are separate, large and convex flakes, similar to cut in half and glued pearls. In case of careless loss during any damage to the pearl flakes, the new one grows to its usual form and does not repeat its previous originality. [1] [2] [3]
Color
Body color is mainly orange, red and white. Variants of blurry-spotted fish color are possible with yellow and other, dark combination.
Variations
Recently, black and chintz individuals are found.
