Trans-Caprivi in Namibia
Trans-Caprivi ( Trans-Kaprivi-Fernstraße , English Trans-Caprivi Highway ) is the name of the multitude of freeways between Walvis Bay and the Namibian coast of the Atlantic , as well as Lusaka , the capital of Zambia [1] . Trans-Caprivi has received such a name because most of it is located in Caprivi , one of the regions of Namibia . Trans-Caprivi was built until 2004, when the last freeway was completed [2] .
In the west of Namibia, as well as in Angola, the quality of roads is significantly higher than in Central Namibia [3] . For Namibia, Trans-Caprivi is an opportunity for easy communication with Central Africa , and for Zambia, faster access to the ocean.
