The Vancouver Museum ( Museum of Vancouver (MOV), formerly Vancouver Museum ) is Canada 's largest civic museum. The Vancouver Museum was opened in 1894; in 2008, his concept was completely redesigned. The museum is located in the same building with the Space Center. Macmillan .

Museum Information
At the origins of the museum was the Vancouver Art, Historical and Scientific Association, established April 17, 1894 [1] . The exhibitions of this society were located in various places, until the museum found its permanent place in the center of Carnegie April 15, 1905. In 1968, the museum was renamed the Museum of the Century of Canada and was moved to the building in which it is located to this day, and in 1981 returned to its original name [2] . In spring 2009, a new concept of the museum was presented as a reflection of the city, its history and inhabitants. In 2010, for the successful development of this new direction, the museum received an award from the Canadian Museums Association [2] .
The museum’s collection contains various artifacts collected around the world, including the mummy acquired in Egypt , collections of the 19th and 20th centuries.
