Biography

Born May 22, 1969.

He graduated from the Finance Academy under the Government of the Russian Federation with a degree in Finance and Credit. And

He held the position of First Vice-President of the Russian Federation of Alpine Skiing and Snowboarding, with his direct participation and significant organizational contribution, large-scale skiing competitions in Russia began.

He made a great contribution to the achievement of one of the most important decisions for Russian sport adopted by the International Ski Federation / FIS /, as a result of which Russia for the first time received the right to host the Snowboard World Cup Stage in February 2007 in two disciplines at once - parallel slalom and big air .

Since 2010, he is president of the Curling Federation of Russia . During his leadership of the federation, the Russian national curling teams rose to the leading lines of world rankings, while Russians from 2014 every year climb the podium of the World Cup and three times won the European Championship title. In Moscow and Sochi, under the control of the Federation, specialized curling grounds were built, including the Olympic facility - the Ice Cube Curling Center, and a free curling school for children was opened. He initiated and organized the All-Russian Amateur Curling League.

Member of the State Duma, is a member of the LDPR faction.

Since 2011 - First Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Physical Culture, Sports and Youth Affairs. Subsequently (until September 2016) he served as chairman of the committee, and after the 2016 elections, he again became a member of the committee, losing the chair to Mikhail Degtyarev .
