Ushkovo flag

The flag of the intracity municipality in the village of Ushkovo in the Kurortny district of the city ​​of St. Petersburg of the Russian Federation is an identification mark serving as the official symbol of the municipality and a sign of unity of its population.

The flag was approved on October 22, 2008 [1] and on October 30, 2008 it was entered in the State Heraldic Register of the Russian Federation with assignment of registration number 4353.

Description

“The flag of the Municipal formation of the village of Ushkovo is a rectangular panel with the ratio of the width of the flag to the length - 2: 3, reproducing the composition of the coat of arms of the Municipal formation of the village of Ushkovo in red, blue, green and yellow colors."

The heraldic description of the coat of arms reads: “The field is beveled to the right with gold scaly thread scarlet (red) and azure (blue, blue) with a shift down and to the left; in the scarlet, a golden lion leopard holding a green laurel branch in its teeth; in azure the golden top of the bishop’s staff . ”

The flag is based on the coat of arms of the municipality of the village of Ushkovo, in accordance with the traditions and rules of heraldry and reflects historical, cultural, socio-economic, national and other local traditions.

Until 1940, the village of Tyurisevya (that was called Ushkovo until October 1, 1948) was part of the Terioki and Uusikirkko Volosts of the Vyborg Province of the Republic of Finland . In the XVII century, the village was freed from duties as the patrimony of Bishop Bjugga and a certain Matti Tyurisevya settled there.

In June 1914, they began to build a railway line from Terioka (now the city of Zelenogorsk ) to Koivisto (now the city of Primorsk ), the movement on which was opened on November 1, 1916. Immediately after the construction of the railway in Tyurisevya, the purchase of land began, and the vast estates were in the hands of a wealthy Petersburg public. Here appeared a beautiful estate of Count Sheremetev , who continued to own it for another ten years after the October Revolution . St. Petersburg engineer, real state adviser V.K. Orlovsky acquired vast areas of land. He called his summer house Kaunisranta, which means "Beautiful Beach."

The rising lion (that is, a lion standing on its hind legs, whose head is turned in full face) is called the lion leopard in heraldry. Leo recalls the estate of Count Alexander Dmitrievich Sheremetyev , located in Tyurisev. The lion is the personification of courage and fearlessness, and the laurel branch in his teeth is a symbol of glory.

Yellow color ( gold ) - power, strength, constancy, faith, justice, virtue, fidelity.

Green color - hope, freedom, joy, the revival of nature every spring, the beauty of local nature.

Blue color (light blue ) - glory, honor, fidelity, sincerity, impeccability. The vast expanses of the Gulf of Finland .

Red color is a symbol of life-affirming strength, courage, selflessness, sun and heat. The personification of the name of the Municipal formation in honor of the Hero of the Soviet Union Dmitry Konstantinovich Ushkov . D.K. Ushkov during the assault on Mustolov Heights, covered the embrasure of the enemy bunker with his chest, making it possible for his company to advance, for which he was awarded the title of Hero of the Soviet Union posthumously. Red is the color of the heroes.
