Veresoch ( Ukrainian Veresoch ) is a river in the Chernihiv region of Ukraine, the left tributary of the Desna River , the Dnieper basin [1] .

It originates from marshes south of the village of Drozdovka [2] . The river valley is 2 km wide, 10 m deep. The navigable floodplain is bilateral, 50 meters wide. The river is slightly tortuous, 2 m wide, in the lower reaches 10–13 meters. Slope 0.26 m / km. Mixed food - snow, rain and ground. It freezes at the end of November, opens at the beginning of March. The channel is mainly regulated: 4 gateways of bilateral action are constructed. In the river valley, drainage and irrigation system. The water of the Veresoch river is also used for agricultural needs [3] .
Veresochok is connected to the right with the Oster River through the Smolyanka channel [2] .
