Jason Arnott ( born Jason Arnott ; born October 11, 1974 , , Ontario , Canada ) is a professional Canadian hockey player who played as the center forward . He is currently a scout for the St. Louis Blues Club.

Career
In the 1993 NHL draft, he was selected in round 1 under a common 7 number by the Edmonton Oilers team. Included in the symbolic team of newcomers to the NHL (1994). The Canadian national team is a 1994 world champion .
He began his NHL career at the Edmonton Oilers club in the 1993/1994 season after being selected seventh overall in the 1993 Draft and was named the best NHL rookie. Arnott won the Stanley Cup with the New Jersey Devils in the 1999/2000 season , scoring a winning goal in second overtime in the sixth game. In 2002-2006 he played for the Dallas Stars , in 2006-2010 for the Nashville Predators (in 2007-2010 he was the captain of Nashville).
Member of the NHL All-Star Game (1997, 2008).
On June 19, 2010, Arnott was traded in the New Jersey Devils for Matt Halischak and a choice in the second round of the 2011 NHL draft . On February 28, 2011, Arnott was traded to Washington Capitals for center forward David Stekkel and selected in the second round of the 2012 NHL draft . On July 6, 2011, Arnott signed a one-year $ 2.5 million free agent contract with St. Louis Blues .
He ended his career as a player in the fall of 2013.
