History
As well as many other powerful cartridges, this copy was developed and appeared in England around 1898 by the designer Jeffery. Purpose: hunting for large African and Indian game. Cartridge .450 / .400 Nitro Express 3 "and .450 / .400 Nitro Express 3.25", differ in the length of the sleeve specified in inches. The name “Nitroexpress” at the beginning of the 20th century referred to cartridges equipped with fast- burning nitroglycerin powder (cordite) and remained for .450 Nitro Express according to tradition to this day, although now this cartridge is usually equipped with other types of gunpowder.
