History
Scripta Geologica magazine was founded in 1881 in Leiden under the name Sammlungen des geologischen Reichsmuseums (1881-1923), then changed its name to Leidse Geologische Mededelingen in 1925 ( Leidsche Geologische Mededeelingen ). Since 1971, the last name was printed in parallel with the first Scripta Geologica, which appeared then for the first time until 1985, when only the modern naming of this magazine remained.
