Geography

The Kuganar River originates at the village of Elashi . It flows to the southeast in an open area past the settlements of Vurmankasy , Maloye Yangorchino , Oykasy , Liberty . The mouth of the river is 8.2 km along the left bank of the Unga River near the village of Sylaskery . The length of the river is 11 km, the catchment area is 42.7 km² [2] .

According to the state water register of Russia, it belongs to the Verkhnevolzhsky Basin District , the water sector of the river is Civil from the source to the mouth, the river sub-basin is the Volga from the confluence of the Oka River to the Kuibyshev Reservoir (without the Sura basin). The river basin - (Upper) Volga to the Kuibyshev reservoir (without the Oka basin) [2] .
