Geography
The Kushka River originates west of the village of Elkhovka . It flows southeast through spruce-birch forests, crosses the R-98 highway and flows into the Mezhu River near the village of Sukhovskaya . The mouth of the river is 104 km on the right bank of the Mezha River. The length of the river is 28 km. On the river are the villages of Kamenka, Chesnokovo, Morozovo, Savinskaya, Sukhovskaya.

According to the state water register of Russia, it belongs to the Upper Volga Basin District , the water sector of the river is Unzha from the source to the mouth, the river sub-basin of the river is the Volga tributaries basin below the Rybinsk Reservoir until the Oka River flows into it. The river basin - (Upper) Volga to the Kuibyshev reservoir (without the Oka basin) [2] .
