Refers to the Teryaevsky rural settlement ; before the municipal reform of 2006, it belonged to the Teryaevsky rural district [2] [3] . The population is 0 [1] people. (2010).
Geography
The village of Bolshoy Petrovskoye is located about 15 km southeast of the city of Volokolamsk , on the right bank of the small Olkhovka River, which flows into the Big Sestra (the Ivankovo reservoir basin ), close to the village of Maloye Petrovskoye [4] . Nearby are the villages of Nikolskoye and Cheklevo . There are two streets in Bolshoi Petrovsky - Akademicheskaya and Bolshaya [5] .

History
In the “List of Populated Places” of 1862, Petrovskoye is the owner's village of the 1st camp of the Klinsky district of the Moscow province on the left side of the Volokolamsk tract, 40 versts from the county town, at a well, with 12 yards and 110 residents (45 men, 65 women) [ 7] .
According to the data for 1890, it was part of the Kaleevsky volost of the Klinsky district, the number of souls was 177 people [8] .
In 1913 - 37 yards, 3 paper and weaving mills [13] .
In 1917, the Kaleyevsky volost was transferred to Volokolamsk district [14] .
According to the materials of the 1926 All-Union Census, the center of the Petrovsky Village Council of the Kaleyevsky Volost of Volokolamsk Uyezd, 188 residents lived (82 men, 106 women), there were 32 peasant farms [10] .
Since 1929 - a settlement within the Volokolamsk district of the Moscow region.
