Geography
The length of the river is 55 [2] km or 67 km [3] , the catchment area is 488 [2] km² or 686 [3] km². Peletyma River originates from the village Nikiforovka Issinsky district. Flowing to the south in an open area, near the village of Staraya Stepanovka turns east and flows into Sura below the village of Kazachya Peletyma . The mouth of the river is located 519 km on the left bank of the river Sura. The river flows through hilly, treeless terrain and only near the river Sura are both banks swampy and covered with forest. The river slopes are large, the current is fast [2] .
6.5 km from the mouth on the right bank flows the river Lomovka .

According to the state water register of Russia, it belongs to the Upper Volga basin district , the water management section of the river - Sura from the Sura hydroelectric complex to the mouth of the Alatyr river, the river sub-basin of the river - Sura. The river basin is (Upper) Volga to the Kuibyshev reservoir (without the Oka basin) [3] .
