Salasu , in the middle reaches of the Tsebetar , in the upper reaches of the Terengultar - a river in Russia , flows through the territory of the Kazbekovsky district of Dagestan . The mouth of the river is 120 km along the right bank of the Aktash River. The river is 36 km long, its catchment area is 162 km² [2] . The name from the Kumyk language translates as “Sala waters” (as well as the name of the locality through which it flows - “Sala-tau” ), where “suv” is water and “sala” is a noble title [3] .

Geography and Hydrology
In the upper reaches, the river is called Terengultar or Terengul ; it originates east of the Salasu mountain (2206 m). It flows in a deep gorge, east of the tracts of Tustau and Togeniktau, east of Mount Terengul (1363 m), and west of Mount Kakhantmuru (1338.9 m). Downstream, the left-bank tributary of Kakhanukhkal flows into it. The general direction of the current in this section is from south to north.
After the confluence of the Kakhanukhkal tributary, the river changes its name to Tsebetar , flows west of the village of Guni and north of the village of Dylym . Below Dylym, the left-bank tributary of the Zharlinkortar flows into it.
Below the confluence of the Kakhanukhkal tributary, the river changes its name to Salasu . Flowing east of the village of Kalininaul , the river on the right bank flows into Aktash .
Two road bridges were thrown across the river near the villages of Kalininaul and Dylym. The bottom of the river is rocky.
