Polovtsy is a river in Russia , it flows in the Vologda region , in the Kichmeng-Gorodetsky and Veliky Ustyug districts . The mouth of the river is 74 km on the right bank of the Strelna River. The length of the river is 29 km [2] .

The source of the river is located in the Kichmenga-Gorodetsky district , 37 km northeast of the village of Kichmenga Gorodok . In the upper and middle course it flows through the Kichmeng-Gorodetsky district, in the lower one - in the Veliky Ustyug region. Flows through the uninhabited forest to the north-west. The channel is winding. The largest tributaries are the Small Polovtsy, Kamenushka (right). There are no settlements on the banks.

According to the state water register of Russia, it belongs to the Dvinsko-Pechora basin district , the water management section of the river is Northern Dvina from the beginning of the river to the confluence of the Vychegda river, without the South and Sukhona rivers (from the source to the Kubensky hydroelectric complex ), the river sub basin of the river Sukhona. The river basin is the Northern Dvina [2] .
