Food (tributary of the Lay)


Food - a river in Russia , flows in the Gryazovets district of the Vologda region . The mouth of the river is 58 km along the left bank of the river Lezha . The river is 25 km long [2] .

It originates about 12 km east of Gryazovets , near the village of Melenka ( Pertsevsky municipality ). The general direction of the current is north. The villages of Rzhishcha , Klimovo , Parshino , Koshkino , Blazny are flowing .

It falls into Lezhu opposite the village of Maklakovo . Three kilometers above the mouth, Prudovka flows into the Food on the right bank, and Edlaz flows 10 km above the mouth on the left bank.

According to the state water register of Russia, it belongs to the Dvina-Pechora Basin District , the water sector of the river is the Northern Dvina from the beginning of the river to the confluence of the Vychegda River , without the South and Sukhon rivers (from the source to the Kubensky hydroelectric complex ), and the river sub-basin of the river is Sukhon. The river basin is the Northern Dvina [2] .
