Bohtyuga is a river in Russia , flows in the Vologda region , in the Sokolsky district . The mouth of the river is 547 km along the left bank of the Sukhona River [2] . The river is 35 km long.

Bohtyuga originates near the village of Medvedevo ( Nesterovskoye rural settlement ) 32 km northwest of the city of Sokol . The general direction of the current is south. In the upper reaches, it flows parallel to Kubene about five kilometers east. The largest tributaries are Semlyuga, Mikhalevka (left), Black (right).
The river valley is densely populated, on the banks of Bohtyugi there are a number of villages of the Nesterovsky rural settlement (upper reaches): Koposikha , Mikhalevo , Melenka (right bank); Marfinskoye , Panyutino , Konanikha (left bank) and the Arkhangelsk rural settlement (downstream): Mochalovo , Kurilovo , Gogolitsyno , Koryakino , Tupitsino , Pakhtalka (right bank); Prokopovo , Vasilevo , Navalkino , Ivankovo , Arkhangelsk , Ertebino (left bank).
It flows into Sukhona about 12 kilometers above the city of Sokol .

According to the state water register of Russia, it belongs to the Dvina-Pechora Basin District , the water sector of the river is the Northern Dvina from the beginning of the river to the confluence of the Vychegda River , without the South and Sukhon rivers (from the source to the Kubensky hydroelectric complex ), and the river sub-basin of the river is Sukhon. The river basin is the Northern Dvina [3] .
