Geography

The source is located to the west of the village of Verkhnie Timersyan of the Tsilninsky district of the Ulyanovsk region - on the adjacent territory of the Drozhzhanovsky district of Tatarstan [2] . The mouth of the river is 25 km along the left bank of the Biryuch river.

From the source, it immediately enters the territory of the Ulyanovsk Region and flows eastward along an open, densely populated, rugged terrain with ravines [2] . Almost half of the length of the river passes in the settlements of Upper, Middle , Lower , New Timersyany , Norovka (there are no other settlements in the river basin). From the village of New Timersyans flows to the southeast [2] .

There are ponds on the river and tributaries [2] .

According to the Russian State Water Register, it belongs to the Upper Volga Basin District , the water sector of the river is Sviyaga from the source to the village of Alsheevo , the river sub-basin is the Volga from the Oka inlet to the Kuibyshev reservoir (without the Sura basin). The river basin - (Upper) Volga to the Kuibyshev reservoir (without the Oka basin) [3] .
