It flows through the territory of the Cherepovets region . It flows from Lake Deaf in a wetland forest, flows into the Rybinsk reservoir near the village of Klopuzovo . In the middle course, it crosses the highway A114 Vologda - Novaya Ladoga . The length of the river is 42 km, the catchment area is 208 km².

Along the river are settlements of the Korotovsky rural settlement , including the administrative center of the settlement - the village of Korotovo .
