It flows through the territory of the Krasnokholmsky and Vesegonsky regions. The source of the river is located in a forest area between the villages of Shelgirogovo and Khrebtovo. The river flows mainly to the north, flows through the villages of Ostashkovo, Martynovo, Korovkino. After Korovkino takes the left tributary of the Nut River. Then it flows through the villages: Pokryshkino, Vysokoe, Alekseytsevo, Telyatovo, Shelomovo, Horde, Filipovo, Ryzhkovo, Koshelevo, Miklyaevo, Ostretsovo, Bashkino, Myshkino, Khakhilevo, Chamerovo, Ulyanikha, Savino. Between Ulyanikhoy and Savino, the right tributary of the Dobritsa flows into the Syrovertka. The lower part of the river runs through a swampy forest. The mouth of the river is located on the western shore of the Rybinsk Reservoir (Mologic Narrowing), forming a narrow bay. The river is 39 km long and the catchment area is 150 km².
In Chamerovo is the church of the Kazan Icon of the Mother of God [2] .
