Biography
Born in the village of Uzhga (now the village of Votskaya, Koigorodsky District , Komi Republic ) into a peasant family. In 1929 he graduated from the secondary school in the village Obyachevo and moved to Mordovia , where he entered the agricultural technical school. Before the war, he worked as an agronomist at MTS .
In the Red Army since May 1942 . He fought on the Don , Bryansk , Central , Belarusian fronts . During the crossing of the Dnieper on September 28, 1943, the party organizer of the Danilov company, risking their lives, saved two sinking wounded soldiers from death. When repelling counterattacks from September 29 to October 3 in the area of the village of Valle destroyed about 50 Nazis. January 13, 1944 died in the battle for the liberation of the Belarusian city of Kalinkovichi . Buried in Kalinkovichi .
January 15, 1944 Alexey Dmitrievich Danilov was awarded the title Hero of the Soviet Union . Awarded the Order of Lenin
In the village of Votskaya, a museum of Alexei Danilov was created; in 1980, the main secondary school was named after him. Memorial busts were installed in the town of Kalinkovichi and the village of Koygorodok [1] .
