Description

“The flag of the municipality of the Koporskoye rural settlement of the Lomonosovskiy municipal district of the Leningrad region is a rectangular panel with the ratio of the flag width to the length 2: 3 reproducing the composition of the coat of arms of the municipality of the Koporskoye rural settlement of the Lomonosovskiy municipal district of the Leningrad Region in blue and white.”

The heraldic description of the coat of arms reads: “ In a azure (blue, blue) field, a cliff extending from below is accompanied by a cloud arising at the top. All figures are silver . ”

Symbols

The composition of the coat of arms and flag is based on the historical symbolism of Koporye . The banners of the Kopor regiments, used in 1712-1727, were “orange with a golden image, in the upper corner near the shaft of a stone cliff and above it clouds” [2] .

The emblem of the Koporsk coat of arms (a rock, and above it a cloud) was created by the "father of Russian heraldry" "comrade of the heraldmeister" Count Francis Santi . He was appointed to the post of compiler of the arms on April 12, 1722 by personal decree of Peter I. Catherine I granted Santi the rank of chief master of ceremonies , however, after her death in 1727, Santi was suspected of involvement in an anti-government conspiracy, was arrested and sent to Siberia for many years, not completing many of her undertakings to create emblems.

On July 12, 1728 he followed in the name of the “General and the Order of St. Alexander the Cavalier and over the fortifications of the Ober-Director Count von Minich” from the Military College a decree, by force of which it was ordered to transmit to him, Minich , “for painting on the banners”, both old and and the newly composed city coats of arms and, upon drafting them, send everything together with the old to the Military College. For this work, Andrei Baranov was assigned to Minikh from the former painters at Menshikov’s house, who was ordered to give 15 for the first coat of arms and 10 kopecks for subsequent pictures.

In May 1729, these coats of arms were already submitted by Minich to the Military Collegium, were awarded the highest approval, and since this is the first purely heraldic work in the Fatherland in which, as stated in the genuine note of the College, “the coats of arms were perpetrated with proper circumstances” (attributes) : "... 76. Koporskoy, as before, the stone is white, above it is a cloud, the field is azure. ”

On March 8, 1730, the Koporye coat of arms was adopted, among others, by decree of the Governing Senate: “in a golden shield on a blue field there is a white stone block and a cloud above it”. The image of this coat of arms was placed on the banners of the Kopor regiments - infantry and garrison. Empress Anna Ioannovna approved the coats of arms of Russian cities and provinces to place them on regimental banners.

White color ( silver ) - purity of thoughts, truthfulness, innocence, nobleness, frankness, integrity, hope.

Blue color (light blue ) is a symbol of beauty, love, peace and elevated aspirations.
