Eduard Moiseevich Shafransky ( October 16, 1937 , Krasnoyarsk - December 18, 2005 , Yekaterinburg ) is a Russian classical guitarist and composer .
Life and work
Eduard Shafransky studied from 1961 to 1965 at the Music College named after Tchaikovsky in Sverdlovsk , where he later created the Renaissance Early Music Ensemble and was also the initiator and host of the April Evenings festivals.
In recent years, he composed works for guitar. In 2002, he met in the Yekaterinburg House of Actors with the Austrian guitarist Johannes Beisteiner [1] , who has since become the first performer of numerous works by Shafransky abroad.
He died on December 18, 2005. He was buried in the Forest Cemetery.
