Manas district ( Kyrgyz. Manas district ) - the administrative unit of the Talas region of the Republic of Kyrgyzstan . It was created on September 3, 1980 after separation from the Kirovsky (now Kara-Buurinsky ) district [2] . The administrative center is the village of Pokrovka .

The area is located in the northwest of the area. It borders on the Zhambyl region of Kazakhstan from the north and west, from the Kara-Buurinsky and Bakai-Ata from the south, from the east - from the Talas district of the Talas region [3] .

Population
According to the 2009 census of Kyrgyzstan , 25,801 people out of 32,913 residents of the region (or 78.4%) are Kyrgyz , Kurds - 2204 people or 6.7%, Kazakhs - 1568 people or 4.8%, Russians - 1093 people or 3.3%, Uzbeks - 910 people or 2.8%, Turks - 589 people or 1.8% [1] .
Administrative division
The Manas district consists of 5 ail (rural) districts and 22 ail (villages) [4] :
- Kaindinsky aiyl district: s. Aral (center), Kaindy , Nyldy , Sary-Bulak , Chech-Dёby ;
- Kyrgyz aiyl district: s. Talas (center), Kok-Doebo , Manas ;
- May ayil okrug: with. Maiskoye (center), Zholbold , May-Dobo , Novodonetskoye ;
- Pokrovsky aiyl district: s. Pokrovka (center), Balasary , Dzhayylgan , Kara-Archa , Szhegoet ;
- Uch-Korgon aiyl district: s. Kyzyl-Dzhyldyz (center), Ak-Tash , Jiyde , Kenesh , Chon-Kapka , Tash-Bashat , Uch-Korgon .
