Bera ( Beng. বেড়া , Eng. Bera ) is a sub-district in northwestern Bangladesh . It is part of the district of Pabna . It was founded in 1828 . The administrative center is the city of Bera . The area of the subdistrict is 248.60 km². According to the 1991 census, the population of the subdistrict was 208,897. The population density was 840 people. on 1 km². The literacy rate of the population was 24.1%. Religious composition: Muslims - 93.73%, Hindus - 6.26%, others - 0.01%.
