History
The development project of the village was developed by the Lengiprogor Institute in several stages. In June 1951, a building site was chosen. In September, at a meeting with the deputy chief for architecture of the Council of Ministers of the RSFSR, the draft of I. G. Romm was considered. The project provided for the construction of 3-4-story buildings of complex configuration, especially in the coastal part. Buildings with richer architectural forms were planned at the end sections of the streets.
In February 1952, the project was re-examined in Moscow, and in April approved with amendments. It was recommended to facilitate the configuration of buildings, choose a more simplified type, reduce the size of the area, shift the club building to the management of locks.
In 1953, the project was again finalized. It was proposed to enrich the silhouette to introduce 2-story buildings, reduce the number of atypical buildings from 85% to 50%, fit the club building into the composition of the central square.
In 1955, the project was again simplified.
