Career
He started playing football at the age of 6 years. A graduate of the Veles Sarsfield Football Academy [3] . The debut of 20-year-old Alvarez in the first team took place on June 8, 2008 in a home match against Independiente (0: 0) [4] . In total, the football player spent 54 matches for the club and scored 6 goals, twice becoming the champion of Argentina .
In July 2011 he moved to the Italian Inter [5] . Argentinean became the most expensive acquisition of Milanese in the offseason 2011 . The deal amounted to about 12 million euros, with some of the rights left to Veles [5] . He made his debut as part of the Nerazzurri on August 6, 2011 in the Milan derby for the Italian Super Cup . November 22, 2011 scored his first goal for the Internationale in the Champions League match against the Turkish Trabzonspor .
On August 18, 2011, Argentina's head coach Alejandro Sabella included Ricardo Alvarez in the list of players called up for friendly matches against Venezuela and Nigeria [6] .
