Career

Club

Heldt played for Cologne from 1990 to 1995. In 1995, he moved to Munich 1860 . After four seasons at the Munich club, Heldt moved to the Frankfurt Eintracht . After the club left for the Second Bundesliga , in 2001 Heldt moved to the Austrian Sturm . In January 2003, Heldt returned to Germany to Stuttgart . After only one entry into the field in the first part of the 2005/06 season , on January 3, 2006 Heldt decided to end his career. In total Heldt spent 359 matches in the Bundesliga .

Team

Horst Heldt spent 2 matches for the German national team . Heldt spent the first match for the national team on April 28, 1999. The teams of Germany and Scotland took part in a friendly match. The match ended with the victory of the Scots with a score of 1-0. Heldt took part in the 1999 Confederations Cup match. The Germans met with the US team and lost 0-2.

Manager

Immediately after the end of his career, Heldt took over as general manager of Stuttgart. As a Swab manager, Heldt supported the dismissal of Giovanni Trapattoni and promoted Armin Fe to the post of head coach. In the 2006/07 season, “Stuttgart” with Fe won the Bundesliga.

July 3, 2010 Horst Heldt took over as general manager of Schalke 04 [2] . After the dismissal of Felix, Magath Heldt became responsible for sports and marketing on the club’s board of directors. In the summer of 2016, Heldt left Schalke.

In March 2017, Heldt became the manager of Hanover [3]
