List of trees growing on the territory of Kiev and which are botanical monuments of nature
On the territory of Kiev, several hundred centuries-old trees grow from 100 to 800-900 years of age, which are of ecological, cultural, historical and aesthetic value, more than 140 places where such trees grow are known. As of December 2009, 86 places of growth with a total number of centuries-old trees 349 included in the State Nature Reserve Fund of Ukraine . Twenty trees were included in the list of 500 outstanding trees of Ukraine , compiled and published in 2011 at the initiative of the Kiev Ecological and Cultural Center .
