Zenobia on the banks of the Araks

“Zenobia on the banks of the Arax” ( Fr. Zénobie retrouvée par les bergers sur les bords de l'Araxe ) is a painting by the famous 19th-century painter William Bouguereau . It was written in 1850 . Currently, the painting is in the French Academy of Arts . For this picture in 1850 the young artist was awarded the Roman Prize .
