Career
Club
Yuri Mulder began with the youth academies of the Bussum and Ajax SDOs . Mulder played 2 seasons for the Adelars amateur team. At the age of 21, Mulder made his debut in the Dutch Championship , playing for Twente . In the second season, he scored, he scored 18 goals in the championship , which allowed his club to finish the championship in 6 positions.
In 1993, Mulder moved to the German Schalke 04 . On August 7, 1993, he made his debut for the Gelsenkirchen club. In the 1996/97 UEFA Cup victory for the Knappens, Mulder scored 3 goals, including a goal in the semifinals scored by the Spanish Valencia .
In 2001 and 2002, the Dutchman won the German Cup with the club. Mulder ended his career at the end of the 2001/02 season at the age of 33.

Yuri Mulder played 9 matches for the Netherlands national team and scored 3 goals. On November 16, 1994, Mulder made his debut for the national team. The Dutchman took part in the 1996 European Championship , where he played only 40 minutes (taking into account the extra time ) in the quarterfinal match against the French team .
Coaching
In April 2008, Mülder, together with his former Schalke 04 friend Mike Buskens, was appointed acting coach of the Gelsenkirchen club after Mirko Slomka ’s dismissal [2] . The situation repeated in 2009 when Mulder, Oliver Reck and Mike Buskens replaced the cobalt coach Fred Rutten [3] .
Since the 2011/12 season, Mulder has been an assistant to Twente head coach Steve McLaren .
Personal life
Jüri Mülder is the son of Jan Mülder, the former player of the Dutch Ajax and the Belgian Anderlecht .
In addition to his career as a football player and coach, Mülder worked as a sports commentator on NOS TV .
