Symbols
The flag is based on the coat of arms of the municipality of the village of Solnechnoye, in accordance with the traditions and rules of vexillology and reflects historical, cultural, socio-economic, national and other local traditions.
Until 1940 - Ollila - the territory of the volost (and church parish) of Terioki of the Vyborg province of the Republic of Finland . Since May 1940 - as part of the Kuokkolovsky village council of the Cannellarva-Raivolovsky district of the Leningrad region. Since July 1946 - as part of the resort area of the city of Leningrad. Since May 1959, the village of Solnechnoye as part of the Sestroretsky district of the city of Leningrad. On March 11, 1994, the territories of the Sestroretsk district and the city of Zelenogorsk were combined and the Kurortny district of the city of St. Petersburg was re-formed.
The village of Solnechnoe was named so in memory of staging here in 1904, on the stage of the summer theater, the play by Maxim Gorky “Children of the Sun” [2] . Gorky by 1904 finished the play "Children of the Sun" and she was taken to the Moscow Art Theater . But, in the summer of that year, the production of this play was performed by the wife of Maxim Gorky, Maria Fedorovna Andreeva, at the Prometheus Theater in Ollila, playing the role of Lisa in this performance. The success was huge. The critic Stasov left enthusiastic impressions in his memoirs. The theater could not accommodate all interested spectators and many stood near open windows on the street. So a few months before the Moscow premiere at the Art Theater in Prometheus, the premiere of the play Children of the Sun was held in Ollila. The Prometheus Theater in Solnechny was not preserved.
The golden sun symbolizes the name of the village (vowel flag), also a symbol of glory.
