Andrei Dmitrievich Dubinin ( July 24, 1929 , Belgorod Region. - October 22, 1999 , Kharkov ) - opera singer (dramatic tenor), teacher. Honored Artist of the Ukrainian SSR.

Biographical information

In his youth, he studied in Belgorod at the courses of assistant locomotive driver. He drove the train. He served in the border troops.

Having no musical background, he was admitted to the Kharkov Conservatory , which he graduated in 1961 in the class of solo singing V.V. Rudenko. He made his debut on the stage of the Opera Studio at the Conservatory in the opera "The Drowned Woman" by N. V. Lysenko .

Since 1961 - soloist of the Kharkov Opera and Ballet Theater. N. V. Lysenko , where he made his debut in the role of Herman in The Queen of Spades by P. I. Tchaikovsky and sang all the leading tenor parts. In the concert repertoire he had Russian and Ukrainian folk songs, romances of composers of the 19th-20th centuries.

In the 1980s, he simultaneously taught at the department of solo singing of the Kharkov Art Institute. I.P. Kotlyarevsky .
