Boulevard Alexander-Tache , fr. Boulevard Alexandre-Taché is a major road running east to west in Gatineau , Quebec . Named in honor of Alexander Tache , a former member of the National Assembly from Hull County, chairman of the National Assembly from 1945–1955. and the closest ally of Maurice Duplessis .

Geography
The boulevard begins on the western border of the Hull sector with the Elmer sector directly to the west of Saint-Raymond Boulevard and south of the Manoir des Trembles neighborhood (to the west of this place the boulevard is known as the Elmer Road, Fr. Chemin d'Aylmer ). Further, the boulevard goes east through the neighborhoods of Val-Tetrault and St-Jean Bosco , passing by the southern tip of the huge Gatineau Park . The boulevard ends at the entrance to the Chaudeur bridge in front of the complex of office skyscrapers " Chaudera Terraces ", where, turning north, goes into Laurie street .
Attractions
The Alexander Tache Campus of the University of Quebec in Ottawa is located on the boulevard. In the 2010s it is planned to build several more university buildings. There is also a music conservatory .
At the intersection of the boulevard with the Chaudiere Bridge is the historic building of the paper mill of the company E. B. Eddy . Currently, the plant and a number of buildings along the bridge are owned by Domtar .
