Biography

One of the best defenders in Mexican football in the second half of the 1990s and the first half of the 2000s. In the Mexican national team - the winner of the Confederations Cup 1999, twice the winner of the CONCACAF Gold Cup, twice participated in world championships and America's Cups . In 1998, he played one match at the World Cup against the Netherlands national team , and in 2002 he played all 4 games of Mexico in a tournament in Japan and Korea.

Salvador began his career at Toluca at the age of 18 and has been in this team for 7 years. During this time, he won the national championship three times, and the title of summer champions in 1998 was the first for Toluca in 2 decades. Then Carmona played for the Guadalajara Atlanta for the season, after which he returned to Toluca and won the fourth Mexican title with her in his last season. In 2004, Carmona played for Guadalajara, and spent the last years in his professional career at Cruz Asul.

During the 2005 Confederations Cup , after a match with the Brazilian national team , doping was discovered in the blood of Carmona.
