Biography
Nothing is known about the origin of Julian. In 324, he was consul of Campania. In 326/333, he served as proconsul of Africa (during the reign of Constantine I the Great). In 333, Julian reached the post of Prefect of Rome . It is known that he was the patron of Bulla Regia and Madora. Julian is identified with Ceyonius Julian, who was mentioned in the History of Augustus [1] . He was the grandfather of the vicar of Africa Alfenius Ceyonius Julian .
