Biography
He was born on May 10, 1922 in the village of Zhaltyrsha, now Zhambyl district of the North Kazakhstan region, into a peasant family. Kazakh. Graduated from 6 classes. He worked as an accountant, bookkeeper on a collective farm.
In the Red Army and in the battles of the Great Patriotic War since December 1941. Member of the CPSU (b) / CPSU since 1944.

In 1946, A. Darmenov was demobilized. He returned to his homeland. Before leaving for a well-deserved rest, he worked at the state farm of the village of Ozernoye now Zhambyl district of the North Kazakhstan region.
