Monument to the village of Korovino

The monument on the site of the former village of Korovino is an obelisk erected at 14 km of the Gostilitsky highway on the site of a village destroyed during the Second World War .

“Here was the village of Korovino. During the war (1941-1944) it was destroyed by the fascist invaders "

The village of Korovino for two and a half years (from September 1941 to January 1944) was located on the border of the Oranienbaum bridgehead directly on the front line and was defended by the troops of the 48th Infantry Division [1] .
