Formed on the northern slope of the volcano Nikolka , part of the Nikolsky Range [3] . The general direction of the current is northwest. The main tributary - Gorely - flows into the left [3] . In the lower reaches flows through Lake Uvalnoe [3] . The riverbanks are covered with a forest consisting of birch and larch [3] . It flows into the Kamchatka River on the right at a distance of 376 km from its mouth [2] .

Probably named for wild garlic , which grows abundantly in the river valley [4] .
