History
The order on the establishment of the Komienergo regional energy department was signed on June 15, 1964.
By 1960, there were already a lot of local, isolated from each other energy centers in the republic, belonging to different organizations and departments, where 1916 power plants were used. The total number of employees at TPPs, TPPs, HPPs, LESs, DESs, in electric and heat networks belonging to various enterprises and organizations, amounted to over 3 thousand people. If for the entire 1928 year the generation of electricity in the republic was equal to 300 thousand kW, then by the 60th year these indicators were above a billion. But there was no unified technical policy (except for those electric power enterprises that belonged to the Vorkutugol and Intaugol combines, the Ukhtkombinat, Syktyvkarsky LDK, Sysolsky PES, the Komi Republican SMU "Selelektrostroy", and Syktyvkar's Power Network). It became clear that it was necessary to unite a disparate energy economy on the basis of a single organizational center.
By 1982, the formation of the power system was basically completed. The operating TPPs of the Syktyvkar Timber Industry Complex, Sosnogorsk TPP, Pechora State District Power Plant were put into operation, the construction of the mentioned system-forming VL-220 kV Inta-Pechora-Ukhta-Mikun, two VL-110 kV Mikun-Syktyvkar with the corresponding substations were completed. Only the Vorkuta energy center was operating in isolation by this time.
On December 29, 1982 at 22 hours 22 minutes the Komi power system was switched on for parallel operation with the Unified power system of the European part of the USSR. With the completion of construction in August 1985, the Inta-Vorkuta and 220 kV OHL and Vorkuta hub were connected to the Unified Power System.
Stages of reforming Komienergo:
On October 1, 2005, generation, heat and power assets of JSC “AEC“ Komienergo ”were transferred for rent to JSC“ TGK - 9 ”.
On December 1, 2005, the transfer of functions and personnel of the regional dispatch control of JSC AEC Komienergo to JSC SO-CDA was a branch of Komi RDU.
July 1, 2006, the state registration of the companies spun off from Komienergo AEC as a result of the reformation took place: Komi Regional Generating Company OJSC, Trunk Electric Network of the Komi Republic OJSC, Komi Energy Retail Company OJSC. This was the final stage in the process of dividing the company by type of activity.
Since that time, Komienergo has been a distribution network company. The main activities are transmission and distribution of electric energy through networks of 110 kV and below; the provision of services for connecting consumers to electric networks (technological connection).
Since October 1, 2007, the powers of the sole executive body of AEC Komienergo passed to IDGC of the North-West.
On December 20, 2007, the shareholders decided to reorganize OJSC AEC Komienergo in the form of a merger with IDGC of the North-West, and also approved the merger agreement of OJSC Arkhenergo, OJSC Vologdaenergo, OJSC AEC Komienergo, Karelenergo OJSC, Kolenergo OJSC, Novgorodenergo OJSC, Pskovenergo OJSC to IDGC of the North-West OJSC and the transfer deed.
On April 1, 2008, an entry was made in the Unified State Register of Legal Entities on the termination of the activities of Komienergo as a legal entity. Since that time, Komienergo has been operating as a branch of IDGC of the North-West, JSC.
